PhD Behavioural Ecology Group

Vasco Nyaga Ndumpa

I am a biologist with a strong passion for avifauna, particularly birds of prey. As a PhD candidate in the Wildlife Ecology and Conservation group and Behavioural Ecology group, my research focuses on the fledgling ecology of Africa’s endangered apex predator (Martial eagle) and its phylogenetic relationships across various landscapes in Kenya. The findings from this study will be crucial in reversing the decline of the martial eagle population by guiding the development of a national recovery and action plan
